Straightening my hair it’s usually a two-day affair. I wash the whole product the night before and load my hair with moisturizing protectors. I let it dry in the air, then braided it before going to bed so that the next day the curls would be looser and easier to work with. Then, and only then, will I be able to enter with an iron.
The WIRED gear kit has a variety of types of curls, needs and hairstyle tricks, and we’ve all tried it a lot of hair straighteners in our lives. Some irons have left us with crunchy tips and narrow hands, while others, like the ones listed here, have given us straight hair. There are a plethora of options around, but hopefully our favorite plates can help narrow your search.
Updated June 2022 – We’ve added the Tymo Ring, Remington’s Shine Therapy Iron, and the T3 Airbrush Duo.
