His remarks came during a meeting with Danish Climate, Energy and Utilities Minister Dan Joergensen, where both countries agreed to strengthen bilateral cooperation on the environment and push forward the discussion on the green strategic partnership and at COP-26.
COP 26 of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) is scheduled to take place in Glasgow, Scotland, in November.
Yadav said the world must remember that the forgotten phrases (equity, CDR-RC and national circumstances) were the basis of the UNFCCC and the Paris Agreement.
Ministers also discussed the joint action plan to push forward the GSP in the environment sector. Yadav said India and Denmark could explore strengthening bilateral cooperation mainly on climate change, clean energy, the circular economy and resource efficiency, according to an official statement.
Dan Jorgensen is on a five-day visit to India with a business delegation.
Yadav has acknowledged the historical and friendly ties between the two countries and highlighted Denmark’s contributions to the White Revolution in India “for which India is today the largest milk producer in the world”.
Yadav tweeted that he had an attractive and fruitful discussion with his Danish counterpart. “I thanked him for Denmark’s efforts in the renewable energy sector, especially for the cooperation in setting up the offshore clean and wind power center in Tamil Nadu,” he tweeted.
