Adding to the actor’s long list of troubling allegations, Ezra Miller is accused of endangering three children housed on his Vermont farm.
According to Rolling Stone, the children’s father says Miller has been taking the children and their mother to the farm, which he says is an unsafe environment for children. Two other sources close to the situation have also come forward to corroborate the claims, saying that unarmed firearms can be found throughout the estate. One source recalled a case in which a 1-year-old boy allegedly “grabbed a loose bullet and put it in his mouth.” The mother, meanwhile, said Miller “helped [her] finally … have a safe environment for [her] three very young children “and that the actor helped her escape from a” violent and abusive ex “.
Miller has housed the 25-year-old mother and young children, all under the age of 6, since mid-April. The actor met the woman in Hawaii, where Miller was arrested for disorderly conduct and harassment and faced other legal issues beginning in March. Despite this, the children’s mother called Miller’s ranch “a safe haven” for her and her children. “They may have firearms for self-defense purposes and are stored in a part of the house where children never enter,” he said. “My children can relax more in their healing because of the safety and care that Ezra has been providing them.”
However, the two anonymous sources claim that the farm is a “chaotic environment” and not suitable for children. Rolling Stone reportedly reviewed images of the property in April showing “at least eight assault weapons, rifles and pistols around the living room.” Some of these firearms were apparently “raised next to a pile of stuffed animals.” Another worrying complaint mentions the “frequent and intense” use of marijuana in the presence of children with “little concern for adequate ventilation.” Miller has grown an unlicensed cannabis farm on his property with many more plants than Vermont allows private citizens.
The children’s mother and father have a tumultuous legal history, including a domestic abuse case against the father that was dissolved when neither party appeared in court. The children’s father said Miller took his children and mother to Vermont without him, saying he has not been allowed any contact with his children since they left. The father called the Vermont Department of Children and Families (DCF) and local police in May to request a welfare check, and a Vermont social worker who visited the property told the father that the children “were fine,” but that the worker had “more work.” do.”
These new allegations come as a result of two other recent cases involving Miller accused of endangering children. In June, the parents of an 18-year-old activist applied for a protection order against Miller, saying the actor had used “violence, intimidation, threats of violence, fear, paranoia, delusions and drugs” to control the his son since then. they were 12 years old, although the activist denied the allegations and defended Miller. Authorities were unable to locate Miller to notify them of the court order. More recently, a mother and her 12-year-old son were granted a harassment prevention order against Miller, who allegedly threatened his neighbor and misbehaved with the child.
