The New Jersey cannabis industry dressed up Thursday night and showed up in trendy formal attire to celebrate at the state’s first cannabis awards gala.
Some joked that the 2022 NJ Cannabis Insider Awards gala was the “canna-prom,” as the June 9 affair at the Carteret Performing Arts Center coincided with the height of the Garden State promotional season. (See the full list of winners here.)
From black ties and tuxedos to one-night-worthy dresses at the Oscars, some 200 dizzying people wore glamor and fashionable attire, marking a contrast to an industry typically known for its causal aspects of jeans and sandals.
The event featured two NJ Cannabis Insider photographers taking pictures of scenes from the event and on the “green carpet” located at the entrance to the venue.
