[KINGSTON, Jamaica] – New Era Productions, in association with Reggae-Dancehall artist Alkaline, is pleased to officially announce the return of the New Rules Festival to Jamaica on July 2, 2022 at Independence Park (National Stadium Car Park).

The initial staging in 2017 featured a concert by more than 30,000 patrons to witness Alkaline’s performance. This is after their debut album reached number 1 on the Billboard Reggae album charts. This overwhelming support and musical success since then speak to the artist’s understanding of the genre since then, a testimony that resonates to this day. From its inception, the event was held in Miami, Florida and New York City consolidating the legacy of artist and festival.

Artist lineup and event details

The festival returns home for a long-awaited staging given its absence from the local circuit for almost 5 years. New Rules Festival Jamaica will feature artists such as Elephant Man, Aidonia, Macka Diamond, Skeng and Jahvillani. In addition, Stalk Ashley, Marcy Chin, Knaxx, Star Captyn, Sykario and Kacique. Along with other surprise guests performing in concert with The Man Himself, Alkaline.

“Our Jamaican public has been waiting. Not only for a great production / event like New Rules Festival, but also to see Alkaline live in concert. He has been performing in Jamaica for about 5 years and his return this summer will be epic. Our performance platform has always been cared for to provide future artists with a platform to shine. And this year will be no different, ”said Kereena Beckford, Alkaline’s event manager / organizer.

In anticipation of seeing Alkaline’s performance and the other acts mentioned, the New Era Productions team wants to implore our patrons to leave soon. Doors open at 5pm and the show will start at 8pm. This will allow everyone to secure parking arrangements, entrance to the venue and a wide variety of offers provided by our sponsors and vendors in a timely manner.

Health, well-being and safety

Given the health and safety concerns arising from COVID-19, New Era Productions wants to implore all ticket holders to take the necessary precautions, such as the use of masks and the use of disinfectants. Patrons will be updated according to the guidelines established by the relevant agencies as appropriate and applicable.

Disruptive behavior on the site, not only inside but outside, will be handled by local law enforcement. In addition, our security team. These security measures ensure the security of all our stakeholders as we successfully run another staging. We also want to remind the public that the New Rules Festival is an unarmed event.
